We focus on managing the Company’s third party supplier strategy in support of Enterprise Benefits, Global Mobility, Employee Relations, Office Services, Operational Services, and various other areas. Our goal is to partner with our Corporate clients in the strategy development, analysis, selection, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management of our suppliers in compliance with our internal policies and procedures to drive supply chain excellence, protect the Disney brand, and mitigate risk.
The Sourcing Specialist will be part of a sourcing team responsible for sourcing & procurement activities related to various third-party corporate Office and Operational Services, including Foodservice (Cafeteria and Pantry), Office Supplies, Records Management, Mailroom, Couriers, Global Security, Crisis Management, and other services. Responsibilities include client management, category management, and supplier management. This team member will be accountable for partnering with various team members and supporting sourcing initiatives that achieve value without compromising business strategy and performance.
This is a Project Hire with no guarantee of permanent placement.
What you will do
- Participate and lead cross-functional sourcing projects with key internal partners
- Evaluate vendors, firms and other consultants based on established selection criteria
- Develop and lead RFI/RFP’s process for various goods and professional services, in accordance with policy and procedures
- Analyze bids based on total cost/supply to find opportunities to achieve optimal value
- Implement clear, structured negotiations following pre-defined Strategic Sourcing methodology
- Implement contracts as well as perform post-award administration (e.g. negotiating, issuing change orders, contract closeouts)
- Understand and assist in the development and execution of performance management programs with suppliers that focus on quality, responsiveness, and cost
- Analyze market industry trends and conditions that affect internal partners and external suppliers and/or pricing
- Demonstrate outstanding integrity and ethics in all instances
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ experience in a strategic sourcing or procurement environment
- Strong project management experience, capable of leading and managing an array of initiatives from project initiation through final presentation
- Ability to interact with and establish relationships with employees at all levels
- Ability to analyze sophisticated processes and lead workgroups to help resolve problem areas
- Proven capacity to influence future clients
- Meticulous and highly organized
- High-energy, self-motivated with a desire to excel in a collaborative environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in version control systems such as GitLab and GitHub, with experience managing repositories, branching and merging code, and collaborating with distributed teams
- Experience using continuous improvement and project management methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PMP or similar)
- Experience using business intelligence, data visualization and/or reporting systems (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects Analysis, Cognos, MS SQL Report Builder or similar)
- Experience in finance and accounting organizations or projects
- Experience supporting a global operation
Education:
- BA/BS degree required, preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management or other quantitative field
- MBA a plus
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $84,600 – $103,400 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
