The Worldwide Safety Assurance (WSA) team ensures that all Disneyland Resort attractions are in compliance with all applicable standards and regulations. In addition, we provide guidance for new projects, entertainment offerings and attractions that may be rolled out at the Disneyland Resort.
As a Quality Engineer, you would join a dynamic, team that has a passion for spotting problems and the know-how to diminish them. The Quality Engineer (QE) provides technical guidance to ensure that attractions at the Disneyland Resort are compliant with applicable laws, Standards and Codes. The QE will perform audits, inspections and related work, in areas of expertise, to support the annual certification of attractions to the California Division of Occupational Safety Health (DOSH)
The Quality Engineer will report to Manager, Quality Engineering.
What You Will Do:
On any given day, as a Quality Engineer, you might:
- Certify assigned attractions annually, as required by state law, following the successful completion of requisite inspections, audits and related efforts.
- Perform physical inspections of attractions, audits of operations and maintenance activities, and documentation reviews.
- Participate in the execution of inspections, audits and investigations by the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
- Review and assess alignment of requirements between Manufacturer’s Requirements, Operating Guides, Job Plans and maintenance tasks for attractions.
- Assist in the development of compliance-related process and procedures.
- Participate in design reviews for modifications to attractions, or new attractions, to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Perform attraction audits and provide engineering disposition of findings.
- Provide general Quality Engineering support to internal customers such as Engineering, Maintenance, Shops, Operations and others as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Here’s what you need to be successful at this job:
- Engineer in Training (EIT)
- Experience with maintenance of sophisticated systems.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
- Demonstrated strong teamwork skills
- Proven strong presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
It would be great if you also have:
- Proven experience with theme parks
- CA Professional Engineers License
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, Mechanical Engineering

The hiring range for this position in California is $92,800.00-$124,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
