McCarthy is seeking a full-time Financials Business Analyst. This is a highly visible and strategic position that will be integral in driving the implementation and change management for new Enterprise Wide financial and reporting platforms. This role will own maintenance, support and enhancements of our financials environment and assist in business analysis, recommendations, and implementation of SaaS applications to enhance portfolio. Core setup and configuration, workflow, and fit/gap analysis will be critical. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, team-player attitude, excellent communication skills, and will be driven to deliver an exceptional experience.
Business Analysis
- Develop a strong understanding of key operational processes and workflows, including the key business drivers behind those processes.
- Facilitate effective discovery sessions and techniques to uncover specific business needs and requirements. Understand unique differences across regions and project teams.
- Partner closely with individuals and teams to consider new and better ways to apply technology to drive greater business outcomes (improved efficiency, safety, quality, profitability, etc.).
- Provide subject matter expertise, end-user support, and training for Financials Modules
- Coordinate cross-functional data needs between the Financial and Operations teams
Solution Design
- Employ a disciplined approach to designing, developing, and validating future state technology use cases that deliver value. Solutions can represent new or existing technology platforms and tools, critical enhancements or changes to existing technologies, systems integration efforts, or custom technology solutions.
- Evaluate solution designs and implementations from vendors and internal partners. Recommend optimal options for project groups based on objective measures and alignment with enterprise goals.
Project Planning, Execution, and Change Management
- Execute mindful project planning for each technology initiative, including resource planning, schedule, key milestones, risk mitigation, issue management and ongoing communication.
- Seek to execute the projects in an agile, highly collaborative manner which meets or beats project timeline while maintaining quality. Maximize value creation for McCarthy throughout project execution.
- Actively plan and lead the deployment/rollout effort, including all aspects of change management (e.g., phasing, communication, training, and support).
- Develop training content based on best practices established for application capabilities.
Internal/External Relationship Management
- Build strong partnerships with internal business leaders, influencers, project teams, and users.
- Act as liaison to other IT teams and be a focal point for cross-application integration issues
- Develop partnerships with key stakeholders within external technology vendors, including implementation resources, customer success representatives, and product teams.
- In support of McCarthy’s initiative needs, seek to understand product vision, strategy and roadmap while seeking to influence the direction of product capabilities
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Financial Applications
- 3+ years of experience in systems analysis, delivery, and support preferred
- Solid application and reporting background with robust problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while meeting project timelines and delivering an exceptional client experience
- Strong organizational capabilities with a drive for continuous improvement
- BS / BA preferred
