The Infrastructure Engineering team is at the forefront of building and maintaining cloud and on-prem infrastructure and service offerings at Tesla. This team is directly responsible for the systems and services that enable our engineering and manufacturing teams to build and grow at ludicrous speeds. Tesla is seeking a seasoned Full-Stack Developer to help us build robust APIs and microservices that will power our core infrastructure services.

This role will focus on a myriad of APIs and microservices that enable self-service provisioning and management of infrastructure offerings at Tesla. What You’ll Do

• Build scalable and robust APIs and microservices, written in modern, performant languages, such as Go and Node
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines that can stand up to the demands of fast-paced, continuously evolving production applications
•  Work closely with customers and stakeholders to add features and capabilities to our growing library of services
• Prioritize performance and usability with every decision you make
• Have a vision, and work diligently to execute on that vision in an agile development environment
• Work with customers, product managers, QA engineers, and release engineers to own and bring your solutions from development to production
• Be passionate about DX

Write high quality, performant, and maintainable code

• Contribute to QA Automation efforts by helping to write unit and UI tests
• Scope level of effort, be agile, and contribute to the formation of milestones and delivery dates
• Peer-review code for functionality and code quality standards
• Understand and adhere to strong process alignment in the release cycle
• Work with other developers on the team to ensure code quality and timely delivery of tasks
• Work with your team to develop solutions to both simple and complex architectural and development challenges
• Work with your team to understand business requirements and suss out challenges during design review sessions
• Own the code-base, and act as a subject matter expert on our stack

What You’ll Bring

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of experience building headless applications using modern development principles and best practice
• 4+ years working with modern backend frameworks like NodeJS and G
• Strong working knowledge of frameworks and platforms like k8s and Jenkins
• Solid understanding of the semantics and structures of RESTful API
• Firm grasp of performance management techniques in a scalable containerized architectur
• Excellent communication skills – both technically with other engineers, and with non-technical

Expected Compensation

$104,000 – $348,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
