What to Expect

This Production Supervisor will report to an Associate Manager of General Assembly and will be responsible for meeting production demand for the line by addressing bottlenecks, balancing manpower and developing countermeasures on quality and equipment issues. The Production Supervisor provides hands-on support, leadership, and direction to their direct reports including Technicians, Leads and Associates. The successful candidate for this position takes pride in his/her hands-on and analytical abilities, organization skills and attention to detail. He/she appreciates an environment where superior work is encouraged, noticed and rewarded.

What You’ll Do

• Provide effective supervision and coaching to assigned shift/employees to achieve the required quality and production goals Maintain department records and inventories
• Manage the movement of product through the production area
• Ensure that product is in the process at all times
• Plan and organize work for smooth operations
• Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality
• Monitor to ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations and the plant’s safety program
• Work with employees to resolve technical and personnel problems 
• Schedule employees to effectively meet production needs and to ensure vacation and other time off consistent with plant policies Assist in candidate selection as requested
• Provide the shift to shift communication link in order to keep all team members working toward the same goals
• Communicate to employees all issues that affect the plant
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Manager

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years in a leadership role managing direct reports (Military Veterans are Highly Encouraged to Apply) 
• 5+ years of experience in fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment preferred 
• Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity 
• Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
• One to three years of industrial supervisory or similar leadership experience preferred 
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekday and weekend overtime 
• Good computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office a must

Expected Compensation

$76,000 – $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
