Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
2. Review and interpret project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with design, regulatory, and structural requirements.
3. Coordinate and liaise with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
4. Use Procore, or equivalent construction management software, to manage project documentation, schedules, budgets, and communication.
5. Monitor construction site activities to ensure quality of work and adherence to safety standards.
6. Prepare and submit detailed project reports and updates to senior management and clients.
7. Manage project risks, including identification, analysis, and mitigation planning.
8. Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
9. Obtain necessary permits and licenses from appropriate government agencies.
10. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean construction site.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in government projects.
3. Proficient in using Procore or equivalent construction management software.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Exceptional project management and organization skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
7. Proven ability to solve problems creatively and effectively, even in high-pressure situations.
8. Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
9. Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
10. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
