ADP is hiring an Associate Technical Operations Analyst. This position is on-site in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The shifts are as follows: Week 1: Tues-Thurs (6pm-6am) & Week 2: Thurs-Sat (6pm-6am)

In this role, you will be part of a team that maintains the lifecycle of the physical hardware that supports ADP’s cloud-based payroll, tax, HR, and benefits solutions to help our customers save time, stay compliant, and manage costs.
No two days are the same. You will work alongside a team of passionate, creative engineers and incident managers whose primary goal is the timely restoration of services, alleviating any downstream impacts to ADP associates and clients who employ one to millions of employees.
From implementation to decommission, you’ll spend your days planning & supporting the lifecycle of they physical layer of all technologies and platforms such as network, storage, mainframe.
To thrive in this technical operations career, you must have a strong technical aptitude of common components of physical layer such as cabling, terminology and industry trends. You’ll use your expertise to guide troubleshooting efforts with a laser focus on restoring services while clearly communicating across a broad audience of technologists and varying degrees of technical aptitude.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Here’s what you can expect on a typical day in the life of a Technology Operations Specialist at ADP.
The DC hardware team consists of ~20 individuals. Team members are spread across several shifts including day, night, and weekend shifts, and two sites (DC1 and DC2). Team consists of DC Operations (IT hotline/break/fix), and DC Planning.
Daily Huddles. You’ll start each day with a daily huddle, working in a team to understand responsibilities, identify any issues, and communicate priorities.
Hotline Support. Receive calls from various groups and vendors regarding faulty service or equipment alerts.
Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be working on anything from installing physical device, preparing for new builds, repairing servers, or installing cables.
Learning. The DC team supports thousands of devices, there’s always opportunity to learn new technology with a “figure it out” mentality.
Challenges. You’re comfortable working on products with tech that has never been used before. Inevitable challenges will arise, and we’ll rely on you to look for a solution.
Experience. You have 3-5 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
Positive Self-Starter. You have an upbeat, persistent style and the ability to cold call without fear of rejection. You can manage your time well, prioritize deliverables, and multi-task with the best of them. In addition, you can present your ideas in a clear, professional manner on paper, in-person, and over the phone.
Organized. Multi-tasking abilities are essential when working on the DC Operations team. Attention to details is imperative as information is exchanged across multiple groups to triage incidents and coordinate with teams to schedule required maintenance.
Proven Winner. You have an ambitious spirit and thrive under pressure. You have ability to retain information and collaborate with colleagues o trouble shoot issues.
Education. You’ll have a bachelor’s degree OR equivalent.
