We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager for our Solar Construction division. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a team that is at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing large-scale solar construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of solar construction, project management, and the energy industry.
The role will require heavy travel with a typical schedule of 4 ten hour days Monday-Thursday. A per diem is provided to cover all costs during travel.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a critical role in driving our solar construction projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing all aspects of solar construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction to ensure seamless project delivery.
3. Managing and coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
4. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
5. Monitoring project progress, resolving issues, and initiating corrective action as necessary.
6. Preparing and presenting project status reports to stakeholders.
7. Using project management software such as Procore and Bluebeam for efficient project execution and documentation.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager role within the solar and/or energy industry.
2. Proven experience in managing large-scale solar construction projects.
3. Familiarity with utility solar is a must.
4. Proficiency in project management software, including Procore and Bluebeam.
5. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome project obstacles and ensure successful project delivery.
7. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
