Forest Road Asset Management (“FRAM”), the asset management subsidiary of FRC, offers fund products centered around Media, Renewable Energy, and Digital Assets.
About the role
As a company that specializes in financing renewable energy projects, Forest Road is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and scrappy individual to lead the development of our new In-House Development division. As the President of this division, you will have the opportunity to establish and lead a team that will develop projects from concept to completion, all under the funding of Forest Road. You will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and direction of the division.
What you’ll do
- Establish and lead the In-House Energy Storage and Solar Development team at Forest Road
- Develop a business plan, selecting which type of energy asset, region, etc. should be pursued.
- Make key hires to drive growth.
- Identify, evaluate, and/or acquire new energy storage and solar development opportunities for the company.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and schedules.
- Coordinate and manage the design and engineering of energy storage and solar projects.
- Manage the permitting and interconnection process.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
- Develop business plans, financial models, and forecasts to evaluate the feasibility and potential success of projects.
- Maintain a strategic view of the market and industry trends to make decisions that align with Forest Road’s long-term goals.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, business, or a related field
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Prospective pipeline of locations and type of asset you would be interested in deploying.
- Relationships with key service providers (lawyers, bankers, accountants, etc.)
- Knowledge of the land development and permitting process
- Educated view on the trends in the renewable energy industry relating to different regions, regulations, technologies, etc.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Self-motivated, with a desire to establish a team that will build a portfolio of assets.
- Willingness to travel as needed for project development and management.

- Good communicator/attentive/responsive – attention to detail; cares that things are done correctly; responds to people quickly both internally and externally; can synthesize complex info into clear, concise, compelling pitch.
- Hustler/takes initiative/creativity/problem solving- power through issues, figure out how to get things done; sometimes the best alternative is not one readily presented to you.
- Confident/self-aware/independent – know what you know, and what you don’t know; able to run with projects and solve problems on their own, but also comfortable and proactive asking for help/guidance when it makes sense.

Compensation
Weighted towards performance-based pay with an annual salary between $150,000-$200,000.
