Job Description
The LEED Project Manager is responsible for administrative functions supporting green building certification projects from construction to close-out. These projects are focused on LEED for new design and construction serving the commercial and public sectors.
This position would be ideal for someone with a few years of commercial construction experience looking to increase their expertise in sustainable construction management.
Essential Functions
1. Collect and review documentation required for Materials and Resources credits and other LEED credit categories
2. Review subcontractors submittals and provide guidance and clarification
3. Attend in LEED field assessments with Owner’s Authorized Representative and construction team – 30% of a typical week is construction site observation
4. Participate in meetings with AEC representatives to provide progress reports and escalate issues to management as needed
5. Produce weekly and monthly LEED-related reports required by Owner
Location
Orlando, Florida
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, on-site
- 40 hours a week
Required Qualifications
- LEED AP Building Design + Construction certification (LEED AP BD+C)
- Practical experience from at least 1 LEED BD+C commercial construction project
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, sustainability, architecture, engineering, or other programs relevant to construction
- Ability to read building floor plans, site plans, and zoning maps
- Self-directed, organized, and able to work with minimum supervision
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Located in Central Florida
- 3+ years of commercial construction management experience
- Bilingual, English required/Spanish preferred
Compensation
Salary starts at $90,000 per year
