Plans, organizes, and supervises design activities for a department of Architects and Designer/Drafters. May also act as a consultant who is recognized as a leader and authority in the field of architectural design. The incumbent must be capable of demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature judgment. The incumbent must be capable of analyzing all technical aspects of the subject area, defining the scope and selecting problems for investigation, developing novel concepts and approaches, and recommending major architectural design changes.
- Requires a 5-year degree in Architecture and typically 15 years’ related experience, three of which should be in a supervisory capacity.
- Professional registration is required.
