Software Developer- CICS/COBOL/DB2

Job Description

. knowledge in requirement gathering, analysis, design, testing, implementation, deployment, documentation and maintenance (SDLC) of mainframe applications

. Experience working in the domain of Insurance, banking and financial applications.

. Extensive hands on experience on mainframe application programing in COBOL batch & CICS online /Easytrieve Plus/ MVS JCL/DB2.

. Involved to perform technical review, assistance in designing, testing and developing application.

. Defect management in the application which involves assigning, resolving, triaging calls tracking and reporting status of defects.

. Experienced in application production batch support, root cause analysis and fixing issues.

Skills

• Desired Knowledge of and ability to use programming languages (e.g., Cobol, Cics, DB2)
• Applied skills in relational databases, object-oriented programming, interfaces.
• Expertise in programming, technical and/or functional analysis
• At least five years of experience in software development
• Communication and negotiation skills, aptitude for teamwork
