Job Description Summary
The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the design, development and management of automation/ electrical systems and projects on naval and commercial vessels in accordance with contract specifications and regulatory/ industry requirements. The incumbent is also required to provide engineering advice and support to an interdisciplinary team of engineers working on a variety of design and development projects.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Lead a team of electrical engineers to apply knowledge and experience to manage engineering and design activities of a vessel.
- Perform implementation of power system and electric propulsion design and product development for Naval and Commercial vessels.
- Evaluate design of subsystems to ensure that they are in accordance with contract specification and marine classification rules.
- Prepare and participate in design review meetings, including checking and evaluating specifications and engineering drawings.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- At least 8 years’ experience in ship design and engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
- Diploma holders with strong engineering experience may also be considered
- Knowledge in MS Office, 2D and 3D CAD software is a must
- Knowledge and ability to carry out 3D model-based design
- Working knowledge of competing and alternative technologies will be advantageous
- Knowledge and experience of marine electrical and automation system design
- Familiar with standards applicable to engineering disciplines and awareness of Marine classification, statutory and regulatory requirements
- Good interpersonal skills, independent and self-motivated

- Location: Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)
- 5 days work week
- Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm
