Job Description:
Provide expert leadership at the enterprise level related to vast quantities of data (including disparate data), enterprise analytics, statistical modeling, and initiatives. Leads staff in advanced in descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive and ensemble modeling, advanced statistical techniques, use of database tools and/or other approaches in quantitative analysis of complex business situations. Creates and implements solutions from initial concept to fully tested production and communicates results to a broad range of audiences. Expert use of current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to managements, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis. Expert use of all data types, statistical and quantitative analysis, explanatory and high- complexity predictive modeling and fact-based management to drive decision making. Mentors fewer senior staff. Leads cross functional projects and programs. Routinely works on multiple highly complex assignments concurrently.
Job Specific Information:
The FedEx Global Sales Operations (GSO) team supports the global sales force with core sales operations systems and processes and directly supports the FedEx Services Sales team with planning and execution. The Sales Incentive and Analytics (SIA) team in GSO has the core responsibility of incentivizing Services Sales and drive selling behaviors aligned with key strategic objectives, and well as managing global compensation processes to support operational excellence in administration of Global Compensation and Revenue and Systems including compensation Reporting.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understand critical business logic, processes and systems used by Global Sales teams to conduct comprehensive analyses around Sales compensation efficiency and effectiveness
- Effectively communicate, collaborate with Global Sales teams and provide timely solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment
- Provide key insights to Sales and leadership regarding opportunities to better align compensation programs with strategic objectives.
- Offer ongoing guidance on areas of opportunity to accelerate business results, maximize seller performance, and increase overall participation in comp programs.
- Independently attend cross-functional meetings and discussions to provide business guidance based on analytical insights to peers and managers of partner teams
- Research best practices and utilize external data and benchmarks to establish and monitor key performance metrics
- Mentors and trains professionals in less senior positions within the team on quantitative data analysis and help build data science capabilities
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus
- Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience with Python programming & SQL
- Experience with building visualizations using tools like Tableau/Power BI
- Experience developing a story and recommendations to support business decisions
- Experience with sales systems and/or processes as well as a breadth of FedEx knowledge and experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative discipline required. seven (7) Year work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem solving, solutions implementation, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development and/or predictive analytics. Demonstrated superior analytical skills with diverse analytics, data types and statistical software and applications. Outstanding interpersonal skills, written, and oral communication skill. Proven leadership skills.
